What is a hookworms reproduction?

For the two species that infect humans, It taks about 6-10 weeks for the female to begin laying eggs in the instestines of the host. Once excreted (in feces), the incubation period may be a few weeks or several months depending on conditions, they are found in warm (above 64 degrees F), moist (places where average rainfall is more than 40 inches per year), fecal matter-contaminated soil (Hookworm was a problem in the souther United States during the summer months before people used toilets, and still is a problem in some tropical developing countries).
