Spiritually speaking, if women are to suffer the pain of childbirth because of Eve's sin...?

Then why do mammals similarly suffer, in terms of monthly cycle, gestation, and childbirth? And why do male sea horses suffer the pain and contractions when giving birth if it's a punishment to females? What was God's reason for that?
